Working together for seven years at Solus, LLC—a leading Chicago-based provider of IT consulting services—they saw that many businesses upgraded IT equipment every few years and struggled with ongoing maintenance. Each upgrade required a significant upfront investment, and often disrupted operations.
During our early years, we developed strong competencies in data center operations, virtualization technologies such as VMware, and storage technologies such as NetApp. Next, we developed a way to deliver all IT infrastructure services (servers, desktops, backup, software and support) via an Internet-based, secure private network.
In 2007, we deployed our “private cloud.” This highly redundant operation spans multiple geographic locations and is scalable and flexible.
